FlintHill is a regionally acclaimed bluegrass band from Western North Carolina.  Named after the birthplace of the legendary Scruggs family, the band successfully blends traditional bluegrass drive with original material that results in a crowd pleasing and unique sound in acoustic music.  The members of FlintHill carefully craft their works into what has been often referred to as some of the freshest bluegrass music in years.

Each member of FlintHill contributes an immediately recognizable influence to the overall sound of the band.  While their style is deeply embedded in traditional bluegrass music, their ability and willingness to incorporate new and exciting original ideas and songs sets FlintHill apart from most other groups.  Each member of FlintHill is a very experienced musician, and a veteran of numerous bluegrass bands.  In the past several years, FlintHill has had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of musicians that range from Larry Sparks, to Mark Wood (of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra)!

With their first recording, Heartbreak Highway, firmly under their belt, FlintHill is headed back to the recording studio for their second project.  With a little luck, their new project will be available early in 2009.  And, while recording their music is important to the band, their first priority continues to be bringing their unique bluegrass sounds to audiences throughout the Southeast.  When FlintHill is in your neighborhood, go see them.  You won’t be disappointed!
