Harold Simpson uses a Peavey Precision Bass and Gallen-Krugeger M-10 Amp.  Depending upon performance set-up options, the amp is routed through a direct control box and the signal is sent through the mixing console.  The on stage amp is used as a bass monitor.  FlintHill prefers the drive achieved by using the electric bass (although Harold does play a traditional upright model in certain circumstances).
